The brief

Six stages. 72 hours. 140 speakers. One production.

Web Summit Qatar ran six concurrent stages over three days, 72 hours of continuous broadcast, with 140+ speakers across every session. The client needed the virtual audience experience to match the in-room, with 45+ countries tuning in to sessions their local time zones demanded. The broadcast never paused; sessions staggered across stages so something was always live.

The target was not just to stream the conference. The target was a content volume that fed Web Summit's own social channels and partner distribution at a pace the global tech media audience demands. CBA was engaged to deliver the entire broadcast and content pipeline.

What we delivered

Six stages, one producer, content pipeline live.

Six stages with unified production. Each stage had its own floor crew, vision mixer, audio engineer, and graphics operator. All six fed a centralised master control room where a head technical director oversaw the full conference broadcast.

Staggered scheduling. Session start times across the six stages were offset so something was always live. A viewer watching on the virtual platform could move between sessions without waiting.

200+ daily social clips. Real-time clip pipeline cutting highlight moments from every stage during sessions. Clips formatted for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Web Summit's content partners. Publishing happened during sessions, not after.

45+ country distribution. CDN configured for global delivery with regional edge optimisation. Arabic and English audio tracks on sessions where speakers presented in Arabic. Live captions where required.

90-day VOD. Every session available on-demand for 90 days post-event, organised per stage, per speaker, and per topic. Consistent naming, consistent quality, consistent branding.

Zero cross-stage downtime. The broadcast never went off-air. Stage changeovers between sessions were covered by MCR cut-ins; no blank screens for the virtual audience.

The outcome

Tier-1 content volume, tier-1 production standard.

Web Summit Qatar became a benchmark for multi-stage event production in the GCC. 200+ daily clips, 140+ speakers across 72 hours, 45+ countries watching, zero stage downtime. The client engaged CBA for subsequent regional and international Web Summit events on the strength of this delivery.

The operational playbook from Web Summit Qatar now runs under the Conference and Summit Production service for any client needing multi-stage event delivery at scale.

Your event deserves production that performs.
